Acceptance & packaging guide.
What we accept, how it should be graded and packed, and the paperwork that lets a consignment move first time. Following this guide is the quickest route to a faster bid and a cleaner settlement.
1What we accept
- Sorted lithium-ionCells, modules and packs β NMC, LFP, LCO β sorted by chemistry where possible. Mixed li-ion accepted with honest declaration.
- Black mass & battery-derived materialsWith any available assay data. Undocumented material is quoted conservatively β good data earns better numbers.
- EV modules & packs, production scrap, NiMHWhere a compliant, evidenced recovery route exists. If we can't route it properly, we say no rather than quote badly.
2Grading that earns better pricing
- Declare chemistry honestlyAn honest "mixed, majority NMC" beats an optimistic "pure NMC" that fails assay β surprises at assay cost more than they save.
- Separate damaged/defective/recalled (DDR) cellsDDR units need different packaging and carriage β mixing them into sound material slows everything and can void carriage.
- Photos with every enquiryWide shot, close-up, labels/markings, packaging state. Good photos routinely speed the indicative bid.
3Packaging & carriage basics
- UN-approved packaging for cells and batteriesLithium batteries are dangerous goods (commonly UN3480/UN3481 and related entries) β terminals protected, units immobilised, packages marked.
- State of charge and stackingFollow current carrier requirements on state of charge where applicable; stack weight within packaging ratings; keep drums/pallets dry.
- We arrange the movementCollection, ADR-compliant carriage and export documentation are part of the service β you don't need to become a dangerous-goods expert to sell to us.
4Paperwork we'll prepare together
- Classification & duty of careEWC coding, hazard assessment and waste transfer/consignment documentation, generated on our platform.
- Cross-border notifications where requiredWhere movements need consent procedures, we run them β timelines are agreed before commitment, not discovered mid-shipment.
- Settlement documentsAssay reports, Bill of Lading and inspection confirmations β the same records that drive your 80/20 payment.
